Regal® is a leading supplier of high-performance high-quality bearings and accessories designed to fit a wide variety of applications and environments. These bearing products include mounted and unmounted bearings, cam followers and track rollers, aerospace and specialty bearings, rod ends and spherical plain bearings and related accessories.
Regal and its affiliated brands— Browning®, McGill®, Rollway®, Sealmaster®, and System Plast®— have been innovators in new designs, products and enhancements throughout their history. One example of this innovation is Sealmaster PN Gold™ mounted bearings, which are now certified to IP69K specifications and include the industry’s first out of box fully corrosion resistant mounted roller bearing.
Designed for heavy-duty service, our industrial strength DC motors are known for reliability and long life in the toughest applications. Because of their high torque capabilities, DC motors can be used in conjunction with relatively simple solid state control devices to give variable speed and variable torque for low and high voltage applications. Design options include both NEMA and IEC rated motors, explosion proof motors, washdown rated motors, and permanent magnet motors.
McGill Cam followers and track rollers provide antifriction solutions for translating rotation to linear motion or supporting either pure radial or combination thrust loads depending on the rolling elements types. Our range of offerings for specialized and heavy-duty applications includes maintenance-free, corrosion resistant and extreme-temperature designs incorporating advances in treated stainless steel and manufacturing processes.
Unmounted bearings do not require any housing to attach to the drive shaft and are offered in a variety of types and styles. We offer a wide variety of ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, needle roller bearings, spherical roller bearings, and tapered bearings. They are all available from our McGill and Rollway brands with a variety of options and clearances to suit your application needs.
Rod ends and spherical plain bearings are designed to support a load. This combination also accommodates angular motion, misalignment and oscillation in mechanical motions systems. Rod ends and spherical plain bearings are available in a variety of sizes and options to meet the needs of your application.
For over 70 years, McGill and Rollway have been providing innovative solutions for aerospace and specialty industrial applications. Our focus is on custom bearing solutions. We have extensive experience in the design and manufacture of bearings found in a variety of aerospace and specialty applications. These include gearboxes, pumps, actuation, control, airframe, and military.
The bearing products offered by Regal may require accessories to further enhance their value. These accessories range from end caps to lubrication. These accessories can be used on several bearing platforms and are available for customization with support from our Application Engineering group.
Proper selection, handling, installation and maintenance are needed for reliable bearing operation. Based on industry published data and Regal Power Transmission Solutions compiled data, short bearing life is most often the result of issues related to lubrication, contamination, installation, misalignment, shaft lock or other application factors. Learn about various types of bearing failures and how to prevent failures from causing unwanted downtime and cost.
Ingress Protection (IP) Marking rates the degree of protection provided by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures against intrusion, dust, accidental contact and water. It is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The IP69K rating is for high-pressure, high-temperature washdown applications. Enclosures conforming to it must not only be dust-tight, but also able to withstand high pressure and steam cleaning.
While unmounted bearings have the luxury of off the shelf oil seals with a much larger sealing area than a mounted bearing, the level of exposure to real world conditions that mounted bearings are exposed to make it crucial to have a good bearing seal.
